Zum Zufall habe ich das gewünsche Buch in einer Musikalienhandlung in der Nähe Freitag abend gefunden.
I was on my way to my favourite Indian restaurant (The Sitar) in the cold after work when I dropped into the nearby music store. I always like to check out their ukuleles. They always have a very bad lot there, since it\'s really a rocker store, but they have some nice sheet music. I went to their sheet music section, and noticed they had already the new Ukulele Scales book. So, I bought it and looked at it while drinking white wine and eating curry at the nearby Sitar. hehehe
The book is very inexpensive, good introduction to theory and scales, well written, but the actual scale fretboards are confusing. That\'s all I can say.

My opinion: if a theory needs 1,300 scales, it\'s not a good theory. Seriously! Even if you divide that number by 13, for thirteen different potential fundamental notes, there are still 100 different scales that remain. What for?

I think the 1300 Ukulele scales book title just sounds good. There are really only 17 scales covered in the book. The opening is very good and it tells you what type of music uses those scales or modes. They really mean 1300 ways to play 17 different scales. Though, I\'m not sure how they get 1300. I guess it depends where you start to play the root note and on what string. As I said, their scale fretboards are really confusing. hehe
This is also another book I have. It\'s only 12 pages.
