Hallo zusammen...

Wörterbücher scheinen mir nicht zu helfen.   Ich möchte nur das Wort \"insulting\" auf Deutsch zu wissen.   Nein, nein, nein.  Ich bin nicht böse auf jemandem.  Nur eine Frage.   Ich habe keine Ahnung aber ich würde für \"beleidigend\" gehen.   Habe ich Recht?  Hier sind 4 Möglichkeiten von meinem Wörterbuch.

   insulting  adj.   abwertend    
   insulting  adj.   beleidigend    
   insulting  adj.   frech    
   insulting  adj.   kränkend

Je nach Grad der Enttäuschung, könnte man aber auch noch gekränkt, verletzt oder (emotional) getroffen bis zu ungehörig sagen.

ich hätte wahrscheinlich alles allein aufgegessen.

\"beleidigt\" und \"gekränkt\" sind differenzierte Schweregrade der Enttäuschung, passt wohl beides, je nach dem wie man es empfindet. Ich wäre wahrscheinlich nur \"enttäuscht\" und würde meine Nachbarin zum Essen einladen.

Mein Beispiel hatte nichts zu tun mit meiner Frage.  hehe   Ich sah etwas böse Kommentar auf Youtube (nicht für mich) und ich dachte...  wie sagt \"insulting comments\" auf Deutsch.

Ich dachte, dass enttäuscht\" meint \"disappointed.\"  Ich mag gern \"gekränkt.\"  Ein gutes Wort!   hehe

If insulted is used as a stronger expression for a disappointment, you are absolutely right.

In French, the word \"déception\" means \"disappointment\" in English and can be confusing over here.   \"Deception\" in English means \"la tromperie\"  (to be deceived in French).   Though, one being deceived can be disappointed.  hehe  It\'s what the French call \"un faux ami.\"

German has the word \"fast\" that has nothing to do with \"schnell\" in English.  Achtung to English speakers:  I won\'t even mention the English word \"after\" in polite German conversation.  hehehe   :twisted:

Indeed... I\'ve never seen that word in my life and it\'s very FUNNY for someone ENGLISH to see that!  Almost insulting.   It\'s like saying \"YOU STINK INSIDE!\"   DU RIECHST DRINNEN!   hehe   Good call!   I love word plays between English and French mostly, but I\'m getting use to some German that is good for my brain to prevent Alzheimers!  hehe

I\'d subcribe to your video German lessons!  hehe   But please, if you are German and want to talk about famous German philosophers...   soften your accent with the word KANT.  It does not go over well in the USA!!! (and Canada)   hehe
