I was offered this Kamaka soprano for about 275Eur. Its probably from the beginning of the 70\'s, because of the white label inside, and the lady, the seller bought from, said she bought it around that time. But what about the figurs on the top, sort of zig zag stripe and different coloring, would you consider it a good piece? Both top and back is one piece, which to my knowledge is a good thing. what do you think about it?
The photos are quite small but as far as I can see, it\'s a very good ukulele (as long as there aren\'t any damages like cracks). We own the almost identical instrument, white label soprano, but a bit younger: black nut/saddle material instead of white (I guess the white is better) and the new tuners (which are better but also heavier).
It is a fine instrument with a warm tone to a very fair price. I would take it.

Thank you for your answers. But the price is the same like a new Brüko, of which I have 5, mainly old ones, in different sizes, which I like a lot. Do You think Kamaka is better, or just different...I know; koa, the original Hawaii vibe and all that. But you think its worth the money I can read from you answers!?
Most ukes are different from Brüko :). Kamaka is real hawaiian, in summary, it is more than just different.

Yes, I bought the ukulele today. It is in a pretty good condition, even though is a little bit dried out. I think that\'s what causes the mild fret buzz on the open g and a strings. also there\'s a little gap between the heel and the body. The sound is different from the Brükos i own. A bit more mellow but also more warm, so yes there is a difference, even though I think its a question of taste, all in all.

The neck seems to be Koa. They don\'t do that anymore.
Like Linho suggested you can post it on UU to see what you got.
Unlike Brükos, you have to keep it humidified. Get a case if you don\'t own one, a humidifier and a hygrometer. If you feel sharp fret ends along the neck then your ukulele probably needs more humidity.
