Als Antwort auf die im UkuleleUndergroundForum scharf angegriffenen Ergebnisse des Bushman Wettbewerbs hat das dortige Forumsmitglied Deach einen neuen Wettbewerb geschaffen, den mmmmmmmBob Wettbewerb.

Die Regeln (sorry, ich habs einfach kopiert, keine Lust zu übersetzen):

Rules

    * Use the original lyrics to Hanson\'s mmmmmBop (the entire song)
    * You may change the chords and melody if you like
    * Use a uke
    * Your face must be visible
    * You must say \"this is for deach\'s mmmmbop contest\" at the beginning of the vid.
    * Post the video on YouTube and post the link to the video on this thread


How the videos will be judged
6.) Entries will be judged on a variety of factors including: entertainment value, technical ability, creative video presentation, and humor.
Just kidding!!!!

Make the song not suck! Make me say, damn, that\'s a great song, I can\'t believe it\'s mmmmBop. That\'s how you win.
No points for fancy video production, harmonies with yourself, silly hats, wacky locations etc.

The prize
Your choice of Kala Jazz uke - Black, Natural or Sunburst complete with the usual MGM set-up.
( OR any uke or combination of ukes that cost equal or less than this one (MGM prices) OR if you are saving up for a really nice uke, and you need a couple hundred to get you there, as long as it\'s from MGM\'s store, I\'d do that too.)

EDIT - If you can not sing and play at the same time, you may record yourself singing to you playing. You must use both videos and one of those fancy video editing programs to show that you are indeed, doing both.

Deach ist im UU übrigens wohl bekannt, es gibt dort den Ausdruck \"I\'ve been deached\", und das bedeutet das Deach wieder mal jemanden eine Ukulele geschenkt hat, d.h. die Kala Jazzuke ist ernst gemeint.

Ja, Deach ist ein sympathischer Kerl, scheint mir. Jedenfalls schreibt er immer mal wieder freundliche Kommentare unter meine youtube-Videos.

tja... so verschieden können die meinungen sein    hobby-musiker covern einen schlechten song und hoffen, dass dabei etwas unterhaltsames rauskommt. trash im netz ist jetzt nicht wirklich etwas neues. den gab\'s schon immer. einen song-contest zu machen auch nicht. wo ist die gute idee?

Die gute Idee ist in dem Fall, dass er nach dieser ewigen Diskussion über den Bushman-Contest, einen Wettbewerb nachschiebt, der nicht wirklich Ernst zu nehmen ist :mrgreen:

...nach dem motto, auf eine alberne diskussion machen wir noch einen albernen contest   minus mal minus macht höchstens in der mathenmatik plus. ich kann der sache trotzdem nix abgewinnen. sorry ...muß mich anderweitig unterhalten lassen

Ich hatte sogar spontan Lust, mich dort zu registrieren, um mitzumachen.  
Aber die Hindernisse sind dann doch zu viele, um da mal eben was Nettes reinzuwerfen:
keine Aufnahmemöglichkeit,
keine Zeit,
kenne das Lied nicht, ...  :mrgreen:
